Our Name

Post by Tanner »

Yes I know this is a stupid question, but it has bugged me for eons.

Are we the Robolions, the RoboLions, or the Robo Lions?

This question isn't stupid, but a bit random.

For the "right" answer, a quick email to Mrs. Strain might yield a more fruitful result, but I think that today, it's whatever we want it to be.

In the '05 season, the shirt read Robo Lions but I think that was due to the design and making it look nice.

Well, its kinda stupid as you think after four years I think I would know how the team name is spelt.

Its not really whatever we want it to be as I think being consistent is always good. Its not really good/professional to say "robo lion" in one place and then "robolions" in another place. Kinda makes the user confused.

Well, I've been on the team for four years, and I don't know how it's spelled either, but
what is a bit off is that "spelt" does not mean what you think it means.

Well on the website, it says Robolions, so...I would think that's right. I guess whatever it says in TIMS is official though...

God...this is like the name of our robot all over again.

While it is not a type of wheat, it can be the British version of "spelled".

Well, I think it's just important to refer to ourselves as something consistent. Whilst its not as major as calling us "robolions" and then something like the "robo cats", its still something that is kinda annoying when you're making something team related and have no idea whether there is a space, a capitalization or not.

I deem we name next year's robot Thunderhorse.

Can't do that crap again. :P

So far, I think that there's a general rise of calling it Cyberdine or Skynet (if you remember those lunch conversations).

But recently, a certain fact has caught my attention. David Cox used to have an afro. And it wasn't like a wimpy afro. It was a full blown afro. I told David that if grew out his afro, we might name the robot, "frobot". It has a nice ring to it. ;) But David said his dad probably won't let him do it. :'(. But a man can dream.

Then I'd have to shave my head and wear a dothi and carry around a stick. More like "Buddha's bodyguard".
