Dallas has a dremel tool or something that he used to trim the ends of the kicker. It took him like 30 seconds. I would really like to do that. Hacksawing the 80-20 can take time, and I don't know exactly how accurate it would be.

Hm... Ok...
Replacing the back metal with brushes? We seem to be very keen on touching the ground now with stuff....

Haha, I know what you mean. I don't think the brushes will be enough. I mean, if the force of the ball is enough so that it forces the robot up and over itself, then I don't know if Brushes will make much of a difference.

Re: Robot Retrofit
All the brushes would do is clean the ball of. The robot will roll right over them.
If the ball can bend the suction cups mount, it can totally bend the brushes.
I never saw the metal bend. Did it? Is it not something we can fix between matches? It works though right?

Nah, the plate never really bent. There was only once when I ran a ball under it, and that was because the ball was up against the bump
and I came back at a funny angle.

Re: Robot Retrofit
We're worrying at it *now* because of the wheels sliding up.
With that, that backing plate comes too low and will hit the bump no matter which way we go over.
And, the more I think about it, the more I feel like we *really* need to cut the front plates on Tuesday. It'll really cut down the time, because it'll take some time to take the plates back to the trailer and cut all of them.
We either need to cut four new front plates, 2 for the outer plates and 2 for the inner plates, or cut at least two plates for the insides. That way, when we go to slide up the wheels, Dallas dremels the 1" on each side, we take off the existing plates, screw in the new plates, and we're ready to go in a matter of 5 minutes.
