So I kinda started to go into this in the other thread, but I wanted for this info to have its own thread.
So, how are we going to choose drivers? Well, I believe these qualities come into play:
""Driver - The driver needs to be good and work well with others. Skill, cleverness, and on the spot thinking are just some of the things that we look for in a driver.
Manipulatorer - The manipulatorer needs to work well with the driver. He/She needs to be able to follow the instructions of the driver and coach and run all of the controls of variable kicking, kicking, intake mechanism, etc. The manipulatorer has to be smart. He/she has to take chances when they are available to him/her, but stay in the realm of rationality.
Coach - The coach is highly dependent on the drivers. When the drivers need a bit more guidance on the field, then the coach should be a strong personality who can control the drive team as well as the alliance. When the drivers seems to be well off on their own, the coach should be someone who is not so dominating and provide the drivers as much support as possible.
Human Player - The human player will be responsible for handling the trident. Being semi-coordinated is a big skill. You will be expected to hand the ball off to the middle trident person many times during a match, and maybe even handle the trident in some cases.
Punctuality and Tenacity are required in every single one of the drive team members. Quick decisions need to be made, and if you feel that quick, critical decisions are out of your realm, then these jobs might not be for you.
IF you are chosen as a member of the drive team and your performance, whether it is on or off the field, is deemed unworthy of the drive team, then you will be replaced. We try to pick the best drivers each time around, but just know that the best drivers will drive. ""
Just some things about quality and driver notices that I think play into affect. I doubt that we'll be able to pick a group of four tomorrow, but we should be able to narrow down the field quite a bit simply based on skill.
