Bored and playing with Inventor

So, I've become quite bored in 2nd block and there is inventor installed on the computers (engineering class) so, I've just started to make random stuff. I figured that everyone can just post little things they make on here, since, well, Inventor is pretty fun to play with.

Hey Andrew, how about making a six wheel drivetrain with a 1/8" drop center wheel Use whatever material you please, but for bonus points, use something other than 8020.

Those physics parameters that the objects can take, e.g. placing a block on an inclined slope and placing parameters so that the object can only slide on the incline. Mandatory Engineering 101 at the tech school hands out tests for AutoCAD/Inventor during second semester.

Oh Damn, that sounds exciting. I learned Inventor on my own, so I conveniently skipped over things that I didn't need, like these nifty little constraints. I'll be taking a engineering graphics course soon, so I'm hoping to get a better handle on some of the 3D software after that.

But seriously, if you get some more free time, try stepping up and designing something robotics related. It doesn't even to be something you "design", but just something that you create that we can potentially use in robotics. As you can no doubt tell, CAD has played a huge role in this year's design. Heck, it's even managed to attract Logan to the dark side. So next year, it'll be a great benefit for the team if you guys can have one person with legitimate CAD experience and a halfway decent laptop.
