The team discussed the following data on this week's meeting:

* Membership fees
* Robolions Open House
* G.R.I.T.S. (Georgia Robotics Invitational Tournament and Showcase)
* VEX Robotics Competition Qualifier

1. Membership fees

The team requires each member to provide $25. These dues will support the Robolions by assisting in covering the cost of participating in competitions and acquiring hardware/software. Please provide your dues by October 5. Checks should be made payable to PRHS Robotics.

2. Robolions Open House
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Robolions is planning to hold an open house on October 13 at 7:00 PM. Parents, please RSVP to Mrs. Rutland <mary_rutland@gwinnett.k12.ga.us> if you are able to attend the meeting.

Each team will present their robots during the open house meeting - the chassis must at least be able to move by that time. Please plan accordingly with your teammates so that each robot can demonstrate the its abilities!

3. G.R.I.T.S.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The G.R.I.T.S. event is free to the public and parents. We will be packing our items/trailers on October 15 for G.R.I.T.S. The Robolions will then meet on the next day, October 16, to participate in the day-long showcase. The team will leave Peachtree Ridge High School at 5:00 AM to Warner Robins Air Force Base via carpooling. Parents who would like to assist in carpooling at that date are welcome to attend.

We need parents' assistance in carpooling - any help would be greatly appreciated. We will also need parents' assistance for a part-day group if some of the team members must return home during the showcase. Please email Mrs. Rutland if you are able to assist in carpooling.

4. VEX Robotics Competition Qualifier
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The VEX Robotics Competition Qualifier is nearing! The Robolions will participate in the tournament on November 20 at Peachtree Ridge High School. Seeing as there are only nine weeks left until the qualifier, the team suggests each team to create a timeline to complete the robot by the due date. Teams also have the option to work on the robots on Thursday afternoons - please make the best use of your time! If you are unsure of anything, please contact your team's mentor.
