Interesting Bumper Change

Would be quick and easy to change bumpers using this. No forgetting a bumper before a match.

Would be interesting to see if the GDC allows.

After we pick a bot, bumpers are a good idea to go ahead and figure out.

Andymark also is selling bumper "sleeves". I think those are a good thing for if we want to just build one set.

I think the original idea was to always build just one set and have slipcovers or sleeves or something. Building two is just too much to carry around. We already have one drawer filled with probably two sets of bumpers.

We have the material already to go, blue and red. We were going to make just covers in one color, but there is a rule clarification that if you cover comes off or something about touching the tower it is a penalty.

Take a look at the updates and let me know.

We may just build two sets vs one with a cover.

Bumpers

Neat Bumper Idea. Would definitely save having to make extras/save having to slip the covers over the bot.

Downside, update 9 has very specific options. We can't show any of the other alliance colors...so yeah.

Just means that we just have to make sure they are abided if we decide to use this. I think it'd be pretty neat to use so we don't have to worry about losing something. Some specifics need to be worked out first though.

Good idea, but it has several flaws.

>How will you do this at the corners of the bumpers? It would be quite hard to fold something over a corner without permanently securing it or folding it in such a way that it is not reversible.

>You cannot mount the bumpers directly in front of vertical supports or else you would not be able to fold the flap over without taking the bumper off.

Better idea: two identical robots, one with red and one with blue bumpers <--joke :D
