If we were to caution tape off a small area for the robot to drive in...?

I don't know where we have a table, if one. I never said anything about a table.

I can't think of any good place to rope off while keeping pedestrian traffic at ease - that is unless we get the commons, but idk how the entire system works.

I believe the system would begin with Mrs. Rutland. Talk to her about our plans to run the robot.

i doubt we could get a spot to caution off. its a "roadblock", as the admins would put it. but we could offer to do a demo in a certain area like outside...or even just keep it simple and have the robot in the commons getting people's attention to come see us.

i was thinking...if we set up some speakers around our table, we could get a mic or somethin to draw at least some attention to our table..or maybe just play music...idk

oh, and what if we get our previous year statistics out, as well as our banners showing our winning stuff from prior seasons?

As for the music, I'm not sure if the Admin. will let us do that.

We always put out the winning banners that we have and we can also stick out the trophies we have.

What if we took the pit back wall thing and hung that entire setup behind our table? The thing with the blue curtains? It would be bright and catchy...

Having the pit banner out is a good idea. One idea we thought about was either running to robot out in front of the school or in the commons. Mrs. Rutland hasn't checked yet, but those areas should be free (though subject to change).

One idea I thought of is that we somehow make cardboard cutouts of the robot which are life-size and stand them up around the school with a little information packet available for people to take. It'd be neat if we could do this year's robot and previous year's robots. Kind of a way to cheat having to destroy a robot each year.

The commons generally get crowded because they have all of the tables for pictures/lunches/ etc. set up there. So...I'm not sure about that. Outside might be alright.

Cardboard cut-out idea is interesting...once again, I'm not sure exactly how we'd be able to carry that out. Because if placed wrong, the cut-outs could get trampled in the hall-ways and stuff....but...an interesting idea.

we beleive that we can hopefully get a table in front of the trophy area.....

i said that if we do we can have the robot to sit next to us than at a certain time we can have the robot drive to the in front of the school (show off) than come drive back and park. while doing that im pretty sure people will follow.....

ATTENTION:

orientation has been moved from August 5th to August 6th.

i suggest an email be sent out to all members, bc this could possibly conflict with some who were planning on helping out

I'm REALLY doubtful we'll get place in front of the trophy area, and honestly, I wouldn't want to be in front of the trophy case. It's just that *I* feel that is a place for the entire school's accomplishments, and us putting a table in the front area isn't...proper. But that's just me.

I think we're once again over estimating people as a whole. I doubt we'll draw much interest, but I'm sure if we ran either robot, we'll generate more interest than we did last year.
