Knoxville Notification

Postby Paul » March 27th, 2011, 4:13 pm

From Mrs. Rutland, with some minor changes:
Mrs. Rutland wrote:We are down to the wire and plans are being finalized. I am still waiting on confirmation concerning juniors and the plan to move their GHSGT earlier than Thursday. All juniors will be notified by Monday 3/27. For now, the plans are that students going to Knoxville will pack their bags and bring them to school on Tuesday so that they can be loaded on the trailer on Tuesday, March 29, after school. You can add any small items to your bag on Wednesday.

The goal is to leave as soon as possible on Wed to avoid traffic, between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM.

Permission letters must be returned by Monday.

Costs involved:
The team is covering 1/2 the cost of the rooms, so this is $52 per student for the entire 3 nights and also includes breakfast. Please bring either cash or check for the hotel stay in an envelope with student name on it by Wednesday.
Lunches will be an additional $4-5 each (please bring CASH for Mrs. McKellar) and dinners will be up to $10 each night, so about $30. On Friday we will have our own social and will visit the putt putt and "Zuma Fun Center," a couple blocks from the Residence in in Cedar Bluff. They have a group special that could run $22 per person, but which activities the students do is up to them.... the chaperones will be in attendance and supervising. I just wanted you and the students to be able to plan for the cost.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

This will be of epic proportions.
